Logistics Manager
Job Description
The Logistics Manager is tasked with managing day-to-day operations of a utility construction yard. This job will be in Virginia and ideal Candidate would be located near Louisa County or Ashland.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies used for projects to ensure that adequate inventories are maintained to meet project needs.
- Schedule and oversee the deliveries from suppliers of materials such as conduit reels, handholes/utility access holes, maker posts, and fiber optic cable.
- Communicate with the program manager about inventory status and any issues that may arise during construction with material orders.
- Track and report all material received and deployed from the construction yard to installation vendors.
- Coordinating with project managers and installation vendors on material access.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage up to two constructions yards at once.
- Create inventory reports.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and time manage across a large-scale project.
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to operate a Telehandler for loading and off-loading material.
- Active state issued driver’s license
- Strong in data analytics with various reports and software systems.
- Proficient w/ PC’s, Microsoft Office Applications
